DEKA CO₂ Laser
Reveal smoother, clearer, and more confident skin with the latest in laser technology.
What is the DEKA CO₂ Laser?
The DEKA CO₂ laser is an advanced medical device used by our specialist dermatologists to rejuvenate skin, treat scars, and improve texture and tone. It works by delivering gentle, controlled energy into the skin, stimulating natural healing and encouraging fresh collagen production. This results in smoother, firmer, and more even skin.
What can the DEKA CO₂ Laser help with?
Our DEKA CO₂ laser is suitable for treating:
Fine lines and wrinkles
Sun damage and uneven skin tone
Acne scars and surgical scars
Stretch marks
Benign skin growths (such as keratoses and warts)
Enlarged pores and mild skin laxity
Your dermatologist will advise if this treatment is right for your skin type and concerns.
What should I expect during treatment?
Consultation: Every treatment starts with a personalised consultation to discuss your goals, medical history, and the best approach for your skin.
Preparation: Your skin will be cleansed and a numbing cream applied to keep you comfortable.
Procedure: The laser is carefully applied to targeted areas. Most sessions take 15–60 minutes, depending on the area treated.
Sensation: You may feel warmth or a tingling sensation, similar to a mild sunburn. Protective eye shields are always used for your safety.
What is the recovery like?
Redness and swelling: These are normal and usually settle within 2–7 days.
Crusting: Some oozing or crusting can occur; gentle cleansing and moisturising are important.
Aftercare: Avoid sun exposure, makeup, and active skin products until your skin has healed. We recommend daily SPF 50+ sunscreen for ongoing protection.
Results: Your skin will gradually improve over 1–3 months as new collagen forms. Some patients see benefits after one session, while others may need a series for best results.
Is it safe? What are the risks?
The DEKA CO₂ laser is a trusted, medical-grade device used worldwide. Like all procedures, there are some risks, including temporary redness, swelling, pigment changes, infection, or scarring. Your dermatologist will discuss your individual risk and how to minimise it.
Who performs the treatment?
All DEKA CO₂ laser treatments at NSDL are performed by experienced, fully qualified laser practitioners with specialist training in laser procedures.
