Do I need a referral? +
Northern Sydney Dermatology & Laser is a specialist medical practice so a referral from your doctor is required to obtain a Medicare rebate.
A referral is preferred, although not required.

Does Medicare or Private Health insurance cover cosmetic procedures? +
Generally they are not covered. Possible exceptions to this rule include the treatment of facial capillaries, birthmarks and some scarring. Your dermatologist will advise you on what can be claimed prior to commencing treatments.
