Dr Alicia O’Connor

Dr Alicia O’Connor is a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. She studied medicine at the University of Notre Dame Sydney where she graduated in 2011. Prior to this she studied a Bachelor of Applied Science Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney and worked for several years as a physiotherapist.
Alicia completed her internship and residency at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney. She undertook a year of training in Critical Care and during this time she completed a Masters of Public Health at the University of Sydney and a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology at Queen Mary University of London. In 2015, Alicia was awarded the inaugural Dermatology and Phlebology Research and Training Fellowship at St Vincent’s Hospital Dermatology Department.
Alicia was accepted onto the Australasian College of Dermatologists training program in 2016. She completed her Dermatology training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney Children’s Hospital, Liverpool Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital and The Skin Hospital Darlinghurst. She was awarded the American Academy of Dermatology prize for her outstanding performance in her fellowship exams in 2019.
Alicia is an adjunct lecturer at University of Notre Dame Sydney where she lectures and examines medical students. She has written a number of articles published in peer-reviewed journals.
