There are many types of brown spots . Brown spots can be sun freckles, natural freckles, age related lesions such as seborrheic keratosis, precancerous lesions or melanoma. These accumulate over time and make the skin look unhealthy and aged. It can be hard to differentiate pre-cancerous lesions and melanoma from a benign brown spot in some cases. Dermatolgists will carefully examine your skin to make sure you have no underlying skin malignancy prior to correcting the skin with laser.
