What is DermLase ™ Pigment Plus Starter?

DermLase ™ Pigment Plus Starter is a unique series of 5 treatment sessions that entail a synergistic combination of FDA approved photo acoustic QS Nano laser , LED and Glycolic along with bespoke medical prescriptive strength topical tuitional therapy. This treatment is designed by our dermatologists to clear your melasma.

How does it work?

The specialised photo acoustic QS Nano targets pigmented cells and breaks them down, while the LED light therapy stimulates collagen production and reduces inflammation. The Glycolic treatment exfoliates the skin, removing dead skin cells and promoting cell turnover. The medical prescriptive strength topical tuitional therapy is designed to further enhance the results of the treatment. Together, these treatments help to reduce hyperpigmentation, improve skin texture and tone, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

What can I expect during treatment?

During the treatment, you may feel a slight warming sensation as the laser and LED light therapy are applied to your skin. The Glycolic treatment may cause a slight tingling sensation. The treatment is generally well-tolerated and does not require any topical anaesthetic.

How many treatments will I need?

We recommend a series of five treatments, spaced 3- 4 weeks apart, for optimal results. However, the number of treatments you need may vary depending on your individual skin concerns.

Is there any downtime after the treatment?

There is minimal downtime after the treatment, and you should be able to resume your normal activities immediately. However, it is important to avoid sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect your skin.

How do I sustain results?

Melasma is not curable and we are passionate about sustaining results and preventing rebound so you can live a life with your melasma well and truly under control.  DermLase ™ Pigment Sustain, is an annual maintenance plan developed and directed by our dermatologists. This treatment is specially designed for patients who have completed the DermLase ™ Pigment Plus Starter plan and are looking for a way to maintain the results for the long term.

What is DermLase™Pigment Sustain?

Annually this involves four specialised photo acoustic QS Nano photo acoustic laser combined LED and Glycolic treatments over a 12 month period annually. This process includes ongoing tuitional therapy of topical medical prescriptive strength treatment. This treatment is designed to help you maintain the results of your previous treatment and keep your skin looking healthy and radiant all year long.
